The Bayelsa State Pensioners Association (BPA) had a press conference today, September 26, 2019, at NUJ, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. The senior citizens lamented on the non-payment of their gratuity for the past eight years.
They also mourned that they have been neglected of the implementation of the eighteen thousand naira (N18,000.00) minimum wage, and are yet to receive their six months arrears.
The senior citizens of the state also expressed their displeasure over the deduction of pensioners’ grade levels and steps by the state government.
They are appealing to the good restoration government to come to their aid as soon as possible else, they will meet again and decide who they will vote in the next Gubernatorial Election.
